Sugar Cream Pie


This is a recipe passed down from my MIL. This is Chad's favorite dessert. I usually make it as a regular pie, but it's also fun to make them in individual ramekins!

Pie Crust - baked
2/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
3 egg yolks
1/4 cup milk
2 cups milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 stick butter
nutmeg

Mix sugar, flour, egg yolks and 1/4 cup milk until well blended. Add 2 cups milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until thick. Add vanilla and butter. Pour into baked pie shell. Sprinkle nutmeg over top of filling and let cool. Refrigerate.
