Pie Crust

  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 2/3 cups Crisco (can use butter flavor)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in Crisco until mixture is like coarse crumbs.
In a small bowl, mix together water egg and vinegar. Pour into Crisco mixture and stir until dough is completely moistened and forms a ball. Divide into four balls. Use right away or wrap tightly in plastic wrap and then put into a Zipiloc bag. It freezes real well and is great to have on hand like my momma always did!
