Tennessee Fluffy Biscuits

This recipe is dedicated to my former pastor, Ashley Ray. He couldn't stand the thought of a canned biscuit and I couldn't agree more.


2 cups flour
3 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
4 tsp baking powder
1 stick of butter cut into pieces
1 egg
2/3 cup milk

Preheat oven to 450.

Mix flour, sugar, salt and baking powder. Cut in butter until coarse crumbs are formed. Add egg and milk and mix well. Roll out onto a floured surface and cut as little or as big as you like!

Place on your baking stone and bake for about 15-20 min, or until golden brown.
